4-11-12 Paperwork Packet for home study mailed off to home study agency

4-18-12 All paperwork in homestudy packet looks GREAT!

4-27-12 First homestudy visit scheduled

05-06-12 Second homestudy visit

05-08-12 Met with pediatrician to discuss SN checklist

05-14-12 Third homestudy visit

05-20-12 Fourth home study visit

05-22-12 Sent in revised SN checklist

06-01-12 Kev and Kim's physicals

06-04-12 Hannah's physical

06-12-12 Social worker picked up completed physicals, training certificate, etc. to write up homestudy

07-10-12 Homestudy approval!

07-23-12 Notarized homestudy copies received via FedEx

07-25-12 Sent of paperwork to immigration for fingerprint appt. for I-800A approval

07-25-12 Sent requests for birth and marriage certificate certified copies

08-03-12 Confirmation from CIS they received our fingerprint request. 10-14 days will get an appointment

08-07-12 Both of our certified birth certificate copies arrived

08-17-12 Received biometric (fingerprint) appointment for 8/28

08-27-12 Fingerprinting at USCIS DONE!

08-30-12 Dossier paperwork reviewed by our agency...looks good! No changes. Now off to state certification!

09-01-12 Received I-797! Less than one week after fingerprints!

09-10-12 Received all state document certifications back!

09-26-12 Dossier sent to Chinese Consulate and state department for authentication

10-10-12 Agency has received completed authenticated dossier

10-10-12 DTC (Dossier to China)

10-17-12 LID!!

01-24-13 Saw child on another agency's list and inquired. We want to pursue her!

01-25-13 Found out agency will transfer child's file back to shared list

01-28-13 Big day! Her file was transferred and we are locked in by our agency!

Hannah's 4th Gotcha Day!

St. Patrick's Day, March 17, 2008, was our Gotcha Day for Hannah Ruth. I cannot believe it has been four years since she was placed in our arms. I have so many memories of that day with my travel mates that I will treasure always. St. Patrick's Day will always be an extra special holiday for us!
