Landscaping

One of the things on our "to do list" during the wait was to landscape. We've been wanting to do this for years, but finally bit the bullet and did it. Was very proud of Kevin, as he worked many hours digging in the hard Virginia red mud. It had not rained for a while when we first started digging, so it was a lot of work. We finally got some much needed rain, and it made the final few digs easier. We are pleased with the results. The next thing may be to plant a few more trees in the fall, but we can surely say that the edge of the house is done.
We planted a weeping cherry tree. One of my favorites in the spring time.
Our plant choices were monkey grass, an evergreen, japanese holly and nandinas. Not very pricy, yet did the job and easy to maintain.
